Doncha just hate that back to normality feeling you get when you return from holiday? If i only go for a long weekend i tend to settle back in straight away but longer than that i feel like i am still totally not here!!! This holiday mode will last for a few days yet too i expect & i hate it!!
We had a really nice week though. Weather although abit chilly most days remained mainly dry & there was lots of sunshine!! I wouldn't rush back to the Isle of Wight though as nice as it was. There was plenty to do most days & as i say the sunshine was nice enough but ...well...i don't really know what it was about the place that i didn't really warm too.
The caravan park was a Park Resorts one as opposed to a Haven which we normally use. The difference i thought was very easily seen. The caravan was OK , nice enough & the park & club again nice enough but unlike Haven where there is stacks to do onsite & you wouldn't really need to leave it if you didn't want too , here it was very lame.
About mid week i have to say the blues came down upon me big time! I was actually crying on Thursday evening! I don't know why i felt this was. Yes it was that time of month but i don't think it was that. I don't like getting like that on my holidays but sadly i did this time!! Which in a caravan when theres not much to do once Brads in bed isn't great as it meant i did a lot of thinking (about crap but isn;'t that they way it is?)
I'm hoping tomorrow to see an uplift in my mood as i start to settle back home. With Brad home for another 2 weeks yet & as yet not alot planned i can't be like this!!
So this morning we got snow & this time it was real proper snow!! Yippee!! But typical sods law etc Brad had a party at 11am this morning (yes 11 am ...why?) then Rob & Brad have gone off to see Darren & Ethan for the rest of the day so no oppurtunities to have a proper play!! Robs taken the camera with him in the hope of getting some pics but i would so love to have taken some myself! Ah well, never mind!
I need to spend tomorrow trying to organise some things for Brad to do this holidays! I should have done it BEFORE we went away but as he got poorly (& i did too at the end) i didn't get chance to speak to relevant people. So atm he has a party next Saturday then hes going to Amys on the Tuesday whilst i go to work! Need more things to DO!!! Things that don't cost much money if poss too!!
I am crafting some today! Again i am not so into that today but i need to play with new stuff i got before i went away, during my break & what was waiting for me when i got home!
Speaking of which ...I WON ANOTHER PRIZE. I belong to a card making forum & each month we do a cardmaking competition with specific themes. Whether its a colour, shapes or greeting or even for a certain person! last month was squares. I came 2ND!!! I am ecstatic because if you see the talent of the people on this forum then i can't actually understand really how i got a placement at all!!! I didn't even use a magnolia stamp for it this time !!
I want another dog! I've wanted another for a long time. But was trying to be good & wait til we (hopefully) move at the end of 2009. However the pull is becoming too strong & i really want to get a dog now. But am going to be quite good & told Rob i would wait until after our break in October to look into getting 1. Mainly because right now i am still working but figured i would wait til we have been away in October aswell so that my mum doesn't have a puppy aswell as Brad & our other dog Barney to contend with aswell!! I think we will go for a Springer Spaniel. not entirely sure but both Rob & i are keen on them. If Brad had his way we'd have a Jack Russell but although they are cute i don't think we really want one as a pet. I think October is going to feel like a long time away now!!
Yay for the return of Dr Who!! I was so-o excited that we would be back home for the start!! Watching David on a poxy telly in a caravan would not do the man justice (as proved watching Jonathan Ross show on Friday eve.) Partners In Crime was the title of episode 1. Fantastic start me thought. Donna seems much inproved from "The Runaway Bride!" My intial horror that she would be as she was then quickly vanished thankfully! Great story, how cute are those "Adipose" , well they are if you try not to think about the fact they are just blobs of fat!!! Great to see david looking geekier than ever (he does Geek chic so bloody well!) Finally i will just say ROSE!!! I saw that blond hair & knew couldn't be anyone else but her! So very much looking forward to episode 2 "The Fires of Pompeii!"
Speaking of Pompeii...well kind of... also looking forward to David Walliams portrayal this week of the late "Frankie Howard!" On Wednesday @ 9pm on BBC 4. I am a fan of Frankies & think that David fits the bill for the role very well. Remains to be seen if i think that after the programme this week.
Well me thinks that is all for now.
Thank goodness!
